Overview

Competition, EU & Trade

Trade in goods and services in Germany and the EU requires compliance with specific national and European regulations on competition law as well as on the unification of the European internal market. At the same time, requirements for and disruptions of supply chains lead to special challenges. We support our clients in implementing the requirements of these areas of law, in establishing and carrying out their distribution, supply and service activities. Our legal advice takes into account German and European competition law, as well as the "jungle" of regulations under European law concerning the purchase of goods in B2B and B2C, e-commerce, licensing and distribution law for computer software and the provision of services. Our attorneys are also proficient in the related legal areas of international contracts for the sale of goods, services and distribution, copyright, trademark and design law as well as data protection law.

Among our clients are manufacturers from various industries, such as aviation or automotive construction, consumer goods, food, cosmetics, software. We also advise clients from the logistics and transportation industries. We assist in drafting our clients' sales and purchase contracts and the necessary contractual clauses for effective risk management in the area of social and environmental due diligence. We provide assistance with issues surrounding warranty and liability for non-contractual deliveries, which can quickly develop their own dynamics in the supply chain. Should an out-of-court dispute resolution or arbitration or court proceeding ever become necessary, we represent our clients with legal competence and the necessary determination, without losing sight of the best solution for the client.
